Exciting Collection of “Giclée” Images!
“Giclée” refers to a specific type of reproduction. State of the art digital technology has made it possible to create an art print that is extremely difficult to distinguish from the original painting. Historically most fine art reproduction is created from offset presses. These are called lithographs. An offset press produces numerous lithos per hour. In comparison a modern Giclée printer produces only a few per hour, ensuring greater quality. Giclées are available on watercolour paper and canvas. The associated technology is so remarkable that the arcchival inks can actually be applied directly to archival paper or canvas. The results speak for themselves. No fading is a major benefit to this process.
